Quick Answers

The DEVI School is enrolling students in grades 6 through 10. Note that DEVI School can grant a High School Diploma to students who have enrolled by grade 10 and complete all requirements by grade 12.

English language proficiency refers to how well someone can speak, read, write, and understand English. Because our school teaches in English, all students need to have a strong enough level of English to succeed in their classes.

Applicants whose first language is not English will be asked to take an English language proficiency test. This helps us make sure that they are ready to learn and thrive in their grade level.

The admissions period at DEVI School typically opens in January and remains open until all available spots are filled.

At the start of each calendar year, we review our waiting list to identify students who are eligible to apply for the upcoming school year. We then invite those families to submit applications. Then, we extend enrollment offers to selected students. Because each class has a strict maximum number of students, some grades may fill up sooner than others. For this reason, we encourage interested families to apply as early as possible during the admissions period.

Fill out the Waiting List Form if:

  • Your child is too young to attend DEVI School right now.
  • Your child will be old enough to apply in the next admissions period (usually between January and April), and you have not filled out any forms for this child before.

Do not fill out this form if:

  • Your child was already accepted to DEVI School, but you chose to start in a later year.
  • You already submitted the Waiting List Form, but decided not to apply when we invited you.

Fill out the Application Form if:

  • You were contacted by DEVI School and told that a spot is available.
  • You saw or heard an announcement that spaces are open for new students.

đźš« Do not use this form if:

  • Your child is too young to apply for the 2025/26 school year, or
  • Your child is not able to join in the 2025/26 school year, or
  • Your child will be in Grade 11 next year.

👉 If your child will be in Grade 11, they cannot apply because DEVI School can only award a high school diploma to students who begin by Grade 10 or earlier.

Sometimes. Children on the waiting list are given first priority during admissions. This helps us manage the process fairly and efficiently.

However, we may sometimes consider other applicants if:

  • The next children on the waiting list are too young to apply this year, or
  • The next children would be for a class that is already full.

Each year, we are often able to admit a few additional students — especially when their age and gender match the spaces available in a class.

As a Sahaja Yoga school offering middle and high school education, we have specific responsibilities that guide how we admit students.

For younger children (kindergarten to grade 5), admissions are more flexible, as children are still highly adaptable. At that stage, we mainly consider the child’s vibrational qualities.

In middle and high school, while vibrations remain a core consideration, we also need to ensure we can deliver a full academic program leading to a recognized diploma. This means carefully evaluating our ability to meet student needs and maintain a consistent learning environment.

The application process helps us create a space where students can grow both spiritually and academically.

DEVI School is a Sahaja Yoga collective—and a vibrant one, with many students and adults living and learning together throughout the school year. The more familiar your child is with Sahaja Yoga culture and daily practices before joining, the more smoothly they’ll adapt and thrive in this environment. Helping them develop a regular meditation practice and an understanding of collective life can significantly support their success at DEVI School.

❓Can a Student Be Admitted Mid-Year?

Typically, no. Mid-year enrollment poses challenges for both students and staff. We generally do not accept students after the academic year has begun, unless the delay is due to circumstances beyond the student’s control—such as a delayed study permit or passport issuance.
