Notes For All Applicants

Sahaja Yoga is an integral part of life and education at DEVI School. Applicants should have a deep and well-established understanding of Sahaja Yoga and be committed to working on their personal development regularly.All staff members will be expected to:

  • Teach Sahaja Yoga to students.
  • Lead guided meditations from time to time.

Applicants for any position at DEVI School should have a genuine love for working with children and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with students.

Additional Requirements

  • Criminal Record Check: All applicants must provide a criminal record check from their home country once hired.
  • Driver’s License: While not required, having a driver’s license would be helpful for running errands and assisting other staff.
  • Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

DEVI School has primarily fulfilled its staffing needs by hiring charitable foreign workers. Compensation for foreign charitable workers includes a monthly stipend and room and board. The initial stipend for new staff at DEVI School is typically $600.00 for a full month of work.

Canadian residents and citizens who believe they are a good fit for our staffing needs are encouraged to apply.

All DEVI School staff and volunteers will receive full room and board.

  • Meals will be served in the school cafeteria.
  • Accommodation will be provided in a school dormitory or other school-owned or rented properties.
  • Staff who prefer to arrange their own accommodation locally are welcome to do so. However, no cash alternative will be offered for those who choose not to use school-provided accommodation.

Foreign applicants who are hired at DEVI School will be issued a work permit by IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).

  • If you are not a Canadian resident or citizen, please check the IRCC website to determine whether a visa is required.
  • If you are from a country that does not require a visa, you may proceed with your application.
  • If you are from a country that does require a visa, please note that IRCC has not issued any visas to such applicants in recent years.

  • A statement or cover letter telling us why you would like to come to the DEVI School, why you feel you are suited to the position, and anything else you would like to tell us
  • Scan copy of your passport’s face page
