DEVI School delivers the Nova Scotia Curriculum, augmented by additional courses in Sahaja Yoga Meditation.

The Nova Scotia Curriculum emphasizes key concepts and fosters students’ deep understanding and mastery of subject areas. The curriculum also embodies the essential competencies students require for success both today and in the future. It is continuously updated and modernized to be inclusive, student-centered, and flexible while maintaining a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy.

In Nova Scotia, Middle School students (grades 7–9) must complete the following compulsory courses:

  • Healthy Living
  • Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Physical Education
  • Science
  • Social Studies

In addition, students can select from various optional courses, including:

  • Arts Education: Music, Drama, Visual Arts, etc.
  • Career Education
  • Technology Education: Robotics, Coding, etc.
  • Skilled Trades

High School students must earn a minimum of 18 credits to graduate, including 13 compulsory credits and 5 elective credits.
Compulsory Credits Include:

  • 3 English Language Arts (one per grade level)
  • 2 Mathematics
  • 2 Science (chosen from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Geology)
  • 1 Fine Arts (Music, Drama, Visual Arts, etc.)
  • 1 Canadian History
  • 1 Global Studies
  • 1 Physical Education
  • 1 Career Development
  • 1 Additional Credit (in English, Mathematics, or Science)

Elective Credits Available:

Students can select elective courses from areas such as:

  • Business Education: Entrepreneurship, Tourism, etc.
  • Family Studies: Food Science, Child Studies, etc.
  • Skilled Trades: Construction, Culinary, etc.
  • Technology Education: Communications, Design, etc.
  • IB Courses: Theory of Knowledge, Visual Arts, etc.

In 2022, DEVI School became officially authorized to grant Canadian High School Diplomas (also known as Leaving Certificates). These diplomas are accredited by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
